We’re excited to tell you about the new features we added to Editor 2.0, so that you can build sites better and faster using our finest editor yet. Let’s go.

More design flexibility with fixed and pinned widgets

Get visitors engaged by adding an attention-grabbing effect of a widget that's fixed or pinned on the page as visitors scroll up or down. This can be used, for example, to set a static button to the bottom corner of the screen, to drive an action like signing up, making a purchase, or learning more about something the business offers.

In the Classic editor, the fixed position option is available as the “floating button”. But here in Editor 2.0, it’s not contained to just a button or a fixed position only.  Along with the fixed position option for widgets and  inner columns, you’ll also find the pinned position setting which lets you keep a widget fixed to its parent element as visitors scroll up and down the page.

Make an impression with Parallax scrolling

Parallax is a design effect where background elements move slower than foreground ones as you scroll down a webpage. This creates an illusion of depth and a more dynamic, engaging visual experience. This is now available in Editor 2.0, and you can apply it to your site designs, including mobile and tablet screen sizes. In addition, you can set a static image background for all screen sizes, too.

Another bonus regarding Parallax in Editor 2.0? You can apply this effect to columns and inner columns, not just sections.

Go ahead and use the Parallax effect to grab visitors’ attention and encourage them to explore more of the page.

Import another blog into your Editor 2.0 site

You can now import blog posts (from other web platforms or other Duda sites) into your site blog on Editor 2.0, using an RSS feed link. It’s as easy as that. Imported posts will be added as draft (unpublished) posts to your blog, giving you the flexibility to publish them individually or in bulk.

Want to do it the other way around? No problem. You can export your Editor 2.0 blog posts to an RSS feed as well.

Streamline client feedback with Site Comments

Site Comments is available in the Classic editor, but in Editor 2.0 this features offers an enhanced and improved experience. Save yourself the time and effort involved in the back-and-forth of sharing your design with clients, getting their feedback, tweaking the design, and so forth.

See added comments right on the canvas with the exact visual location it refers to for faster progression and a more streamlined collaboration. This will also help to ensure the final result is one your client is truly happy with.

Easy permission control

For every site you work on, you can choose which clients and team members have permission to add or edit comments, so you’re always in control.

Site Comments is available with the Team account plan or above.

That's it for this round of recent Editor 2.0 updates. We hope these will help you build and launch beautiful, top-performing sites your clients love and appreciate much faster. Stay tuned for the next round of Editor 2.0 updates!
