Collections are structured data where you store content displayed in Dynamic Pages. There are 3 types of External Collections: Google Sheets, Airtable and External Databases. The below improvements provide more External Collection flexibility, so it's faster and easier to use them.

Choose any field for the page item URL

You can now choose any field in your External Collection to represent the page item URL. (Previously, you needed to dedicate a specific field for this.) This improvement means you don’t need to adjust your database when you use it to build a Dynamic Page; simply choose the page item URL from an existing field.  Make sure that the field you choose is URL compatible, has no spaces or special characters, and contains data for each row in the collection.

Greater External Database Flexibility

The following improvements save you time by enabling you to use your database as it is, without any adjustments to its structure.

  • You can use a more generic JSON structure for your collection, without making any adjustments. Previously, external databases had to fit a specific structure.

  • If you have a collection that contains data for more than just your site, and you only want to use some of the data, you can specify the path that you want to use inside the collection.

To read more about these improvements, and External Collections in general, see the documentation . For more about using Collections in Duda, see this support article .

External Collections are available with Agency plans and higher. With Agency plans, you have access to Google Sheets and Airtable collections; with Enterprise, you have access to External Databases as well.
