Connected data now supports Alt text in images. Add it to sites that use Connected Data and Dynamic Pages to improve accessibility and enable search engines to understand the content of images.

Adding Alt Text to Connected Data & Dynamic Pages

You’ll see the new Alt text options the next time you connect image widgets through Connected Data or Dynamic Pages, or open Business Images in your Content Library.

Connected Data: When you connect to the image, mark the “Connect to Alt text” checkbox and then enter the image's alt text. It will automatically be synced with the Content Library. You can also update Alt text directly via Content Library > Business Images.

Dynamic Pages: Add a dedicated alt text field to your collection and connect it to the Alt text field in the connected image widget on the Dynamic Page.

Why Alt Text Matters

Alt text makes your site more accessible to site visitors by enabling image content to be read by screen readers. Alt text is also good for SEO, as it enables search engine crawlers to have a better idea of what’s in an image so the images can be indexed accurately.
